Cd´s Premiados Do 40º GMA Dove Awards da Gospel Music Association

Aconteceu no dia (23/04/2009) a maior festa de premiação da música cristão mundial: 40º GMA Dove Awards da Gospel Music Association.
Este ano tivemos grandes surpresas. Primeiro para todos os brasileiros: Aline Barros vence na categoria “Álbum em Língua Espanhola do Ano” com o CD Refrescate!. A Soraya Moraes concorria para esta mesma categoria com o CD Tengo sed de Ti, onde ela já tinha ganho prêmios no Grammy Awards 2008.
As novidades da noite ficaram por conta do Brandon Heath, que ganhou 3 prêmios (Melhor música, Artista e Melhor Música Pop/Contemporânea do ano), e Natalie Grant que ganhou novamente (4º ano seguido) na categoria “Voz Feminina”.

Criado na igreja pela tia, Kirk Franklin aprendeu piano aos quatro anos de idade e aos onze anos já liderava o coral adulto da Mt. Rose Baptist Church. Kirk Franklin teve uma infância e juventude premiada, mas sua carreira foi, desde cedo, cercada por rebeliões de gangs de adolescentes. Sacudido nas brechas da sua igreja, Franklin começou a visualizar um som que fundisse o Gospel tradicional com R&B, rock e pop, que ele ouvia. Isso foi um Mix eclético que passou pelo funk de Cameo, Earth, Wind & Fire, George Clinton e Rick James ao rock do U2, INXS e Depeche Mode, dando nome às canções quando suas gravações que eram feitas com um conjunto de dezessete vozes alcançaram o selo GospoCentric, através de Vick Mack Lataillade, que assinou um contrato com Franklin imediatamente, tornando Kirk Franklin & The Family (também conhecido como Why We Sing) recorde de vendas. Todos os cd´s até hoje lançados por ele se encontram abaixo e garanto que vai edificar muito sua vida!!
